Brand building in the online age. sengWare

sengWare® is the designer and distributor of a line of contemporary dinnerware. While the Seattle-based company developed a strong customer base through traditional marketing venues, they lacked a strong brand identity on the web. In late 2008, sengWare hired GLUEinteractive to develop a professional website that provided both e-commerce and interactive features to leverage the sengWare brand online.

To create a strong foundation for growth, GLUEinteractive designed and built a new website for sengWare, which includes: a user-friendly layout, easy navigation and updated content that is both conducive to search engines and engaging for customers. The aesthetics and content of the new sengWare site reflects the creativity and excitement of the company's culture. The site also provides customers with information about each sengWare product, including: zoom-in photo features, detailed product descriptions and sizing information.

GLUEinteractive also developed a page on the site called sengWare @Home, which features recipes, tips and interesting information that appeals to sengWare's target demographic. This portion of the site taps into popular social media sites including Flickr™and Facebook™ , and will eventually house a sengWare blog. The content on sengWare ß also corresponds to a monthly eNewsletter, which is distributed to existing sengWare customers. The social marketing elements of the website help leverage the sengWare brand online while giving the company a competitive edge in their industry.
